Start the disassembly in one of the corners on the groove side.
Floating laminate floors are the easiest to remove because they are not glued down to the concrete and are merely snapped together.
Reach under the edge of a laminate strip and pull it back towards you.
Laminate flooring can usually be installed successfully right over old floor coverings such as sheet vinyl provided the surface is flat and smooth and not soft or cushiony.

The planks are easier to remove if you begin from the tongue side rather than the side with the groove.
Now that the floor is clear and no moulding is present locate the wall that has the tongue side of the laminate flooring.
Pull it up and back towards you at about a 45 degree angle.
For proper installation the subfloor or old flooring surface must be flat smooth and clean.
