Electrolux Washer Door Lock Error

When the door is opened the drum light should turn on if so equipped.

If the door lock is defective the washer may stop mid cycle. If good replace the door lock. On some models if there is a problem with opening the door and the display is off turn on the washing machine and make sure the door lock icon is not active. Check if there is water in the machine.

Door closed sensing failure. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Affinity diagnostic mode newer models turn the program knob 6 clicks from the start position. Door lock device failure.

If there is water in the machine the door cannot be opened. The door lock solenoid will deactivate and the loading door can be opened. If it doesn t turn the machine off by pressing the button or turning the dial all of the way to the off position. If the washer door is not latched shut the door switch prevents the washer from operating.

Line door sensing failure. Wait 5 6 seconds to see if the door unlocks. Once the washer door is closed the washer can begin operating. Turn the washing machine off and unplug it.

When the door lock dies on these machines it fries the electronic board so if you door lock plays up turn the power off and unplug your machine from the po. The door lock will activate and the washer will fill then tumble. If the door lock is damaged or does not latch properly replace it. Make sure the door lock icon is not active.

Check wire connection between door lock and main control board. Inspect the door lock for damage. If problem is not corrected replace the main control board. If you re in the middle of a cycle turn the dial or press the button to pause or end the cycle.

Washer was not completing cycle and unlocking door which left clothes stuck so after disconnecting and reconnecting machine it reset computer and now works f.
